Why We Need Art(ists)

This has been a common thought that attacks my motivation and creative inspiration- It's a waste of time, other people don't actually understand it, there's so much out there already, anyone could make this.

To go deeper- It's distracting me from my job, isolating me form my friends, I should be picking up a second job in this spare time, and what if God doesn't want me to be an artist?

Simple solution 1. Find balance, baby- no one said you can't bring a sketchbook to work, just put it away when your lunch break is up. Find MORE balance- no one said you can't have friends, just find some art respective ones.

The real solution 2. Art is not just a material slapped on another material. It is the placement of the material, which material was chosen, what color is it, why was it placed where it was placed? Art is a message. It is a way to abstractly communicate feelings and desires.

We need art because we need to share with one another. Art is a universal language that is not bound by dialect. As an (assumed) artist, don't you see it all around you? Music, kitchen decor, the way we make our beds, our own personal style. Look at all the colors and purposeful patterns that surround you. Everything is art, it just isn't labeled as so. So... why can't you contribute?
